I think it works for a glam look and the lip color is nice and you will need long lasting. Looks nice.

I agree that the shadow is too dark and should be lighter in the lids. Also the dark color goes too far up (leaving little space for brow bone highlight). The colors need to be blended better and the coloring is not even on both eyes.

You have hooded eyes like I do, that being said, she needs to thin out the eyeliner on your eyelids (it makes your eyes look smaller). That can be compensated with bigger wings (which will help glam it up more). Did you not want false lashes? If not, I'd ask for those as well, as they tend to tie the look together.


Your inspo pic is more gold/warm tones. Might be because of your phone camera, but your makeup looks more silver/cool tones. That's another thing to consider. Bringing it back to the eyeliner, by thinning it on your eyelids, more of the shimmer shade (gold or silver whichever you're using) will stand out which will again up the glam factor.
The photo is example of eyeliner for hooded eyes. Notice that the wing itself can be big, but the eyeliner along the lashes stays pretty thin and close to the lashes.

The colours she used were more browns and I definitely wanted more lighter metallic. She’ll be there plenty early on my wedding day so can definitely get the look right. I totally agree the dark shadow is way too high up on your lids! How do you feel about the blush? With a bold eye color it may be a bit much, especially with a dark lipstick (either color).

It’s a tad dark for my liking, if you are looking for something different I would request another trial so that you know it will be what you want on the day of.

Your eyeshadow is nothing like the pic and is too dark for your face features. It would use lighter colors for your eyeshadows like a brownish golden color. The color lipstick is beautiful on you.

I agree, the inspo is a pretty simple cut crease. Maybe do another trial run before the wedding. If shes a friend or family member, yall could watch Youtube videos together so you can be on the same page for how the composition of the look should go.

Agreeing with the dark tones and too high up. I would see if they can do another trial, it seems like a lot of what you wanted was wrong. Colors are no where near the inspo picture. Def speak up on your wedding day if you don’t like it, it’s your day and you are paying for their services!
