Makeup Trial

Jennifer, on August 9, 2020 at 4:38 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 14
I just had my makeup trial! The way eyeliner looks on one of my eyelids makes it look super thick. It is the structure of my eyelid itself, not the way she did it. Not sure what sort of feedback I can give her. Pics of my eyes open and closed attached for reference. Any input would be much appreciated, not just on the eyeliner, but everything in general. Also, my eyebrows are always like that and it is not her fault lol.
Thanks in advance ❤

The eyeshadow is very pretty! Does she know how to shape eyebrows? I know some MUAs are better at it than others. Will you be wearing anything on your lips?

I guess you will need to tell her that due to how the eyelid is the liner looked thicker. I would maybe do a bit more color on the lips.

Gorgeous! I agree with the others, is there a way she could shape your eyebrows? When I had my trial, my MUA plucked several of my eyebrows. Regardless you are beautiful!!!

I think if she can “color” your eyebrows into shape and either go thicker with the liner or thinner it would look great!

I use brow gel to shape my brows into place.

As a Mua I think you could tell her to go a little thinner on the liner maybe if she does this wel gel liner and a tho brush also she can definitely shape the brows a tad and tone down the darkness maybe use some concealer to shape them it would make a big difference a little bronzing on the cheek bones and little blush to give you some more dimension

I think your make up makes you look very bridal.
Just ask your MUA to use concealer and gel eyeliner on the ends to give you more eyebrows.
This is coming from someone that has thin eyebrow hairs, so I have to fill them anyways. Overall, I think it looks very pretty!

Looking good Jennifer!! Would you be open to false lashes like Paige suggested? Those would really make your eyes pop!

I think she did a good job, I'd just give her a little feedback like having a thiner liner closer to your lid line and maybe lightening up the eyeshadow with a little highlighter right under your brows!

You have a great eye shape for makeup! Would you consider doing your own makeup?Smiley smile

I would do a lighter shade on the eyelid and keep the darker colors for the crease and right up against the lash line. (well blended so there's no harsh line). When the eyelid color is too dark, the lashes blend in and don't really stand out. You would get a nice result if you applied a very dark brown or black pencil liner lightly on your upper lash line and the outer lower line, and then lightly blended with a brush or your finger. On top of that, you can add and blend eye shadow. The darker color will give you more dimension and make your eyes pop. A black mascara too!

If you add false lashes, I would suggest the individuals instead of a strip. The smaller clumps of hair can be wedged in between your natural lashes, and are far more comfortable (and realistic) than the strip style.

I have a similar issue as you with my lids, my left always looks thin like it’s supposed to and my right always looks super thick. If I want to do really thin liner I use a liquid liner with a pointed brush and that seems to help. Not sure how you feel about a liquid liner or if she even used one (it looks like a pencil or powder from the photos) but that may help with a thinner line. I also sometimes just draw super thick so they match, but I understand you might not want to do super thick liner for your wedding.

First let me say that you are beautiful! Next I agree with above your eyebrow appear to need to be shaped or filled in to match and maybe give them the perfect arch. I like the gold shadow but maybe add a little lighter color up towards the eyebrow to fade some the gold goes up a little too high for my liking but it’s your makeup!! Regardless your beautiful makeup or no makeup and your husbands jaw will drop regardless!!

Thank you all for your feedback! I have been so busy with other wedding planning disasters that I hadn't checked on here for a while.

You have very beautiful eyes! All I’d suggest is shaping for the brows ❤️
