Makeup

Hey ladies! My wedding is in June and I have decided to do my own makeup. One issue I hate foundation can never find one that doesn't give me cake face. I don't really need foundation I have relatively clear skin. I guess I just need advice if I should keep trying to find a foundation that works or go without? My plan for eyeshadow is going to be a bold smokey eye with probably a nude or ash color lip.

If you don't need foundation, I would say go without it. I don't know much about makeup, but maybe try a tinted moisturizer if you want a little cover.

You should try BB cream and concealer instead of foundation! Might feel lighter and more natural if your don't really need the coverage.

This sounds like my situation, I didn't wear a lot of makeup and had never worn foundation, so I went foundation-free on my wedding day (and DIYed my makeup too). I did get a tip not to wear pressed powder because of how it can photograph. I'd ask your photographer for some more tips like that to keep on the safe side. Have you done a trial run?

Whatever you do, do not wear setting powder (use a spray setter, misted far from face), you'll look like a ghost in pictures if you go powder! I also agree with going to sephora or ulta when stores are back open and being matched to a light foundation as highlighters and bronzers work best on foundation, not directly on your skin, and I highly recommend highlight/bronzing for photographs!
