At first, I was planning on just paying for a professional makeup artist to do my makeup and just my bridal party, but my mom informed me that she wants to get her done too. Ofcourse, my future MIL and Grandmother expressed that they also wanted to get their makeup professionally done. It's going to get really expensive to pay for everyone. Should I pay the extra costs to get their makeup done too? Is it wrong of me to tell them that it will be just for my bridal party and myself? The expense will be coming out of my fiance and I's pocket.

    If having their makeup done is optional, I would let them pay for it. You can simply tell them that paying for everyone would be a budget buster. Also, if you have not offered to pay for theirs, I would hope they are not assuming you will be?

    If you aren't requiring them to wear makeup then I wouldn't pay for it.

    I wouldn’t pay for it. I gave my girls the option of getting their makeup done and they knew they had to pay for it themselves. So I think it works the same here...tell them they are more than welcome to join, but they need to pay for it.

    I wouldn't pay for it. Like Allie, I'm giving my girls the option and they all said they will pay for their makeup to get done. I will say that I'm paying for myself, my mom, and my FMIL.

    Usually you don't pay for grandmothers and extended family/friends to get their makeup done unless you can afford it and want to do that.

    Just tell them the truth and you cant afford to pay for everyone.. Im sure they will understand..
