Making a dark ballroom look bright!

Tori, on July 17, 2017 at 6:38 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

Hi! I went to a venue today that has everything I want except for the ballroom. My theme is going to be a lot of blush and white with hints of navy blue. I'm going for a very fresh and clean look. The outside of the venue for the ceremony is stunning! It is a lawn with beautiful gardens and it is overlooking the bay. The ballroom DOES have a beautiful panoramic view of the bay but everything else looks so rustic! (Or my fiancé described it as medieval lol) Any tips on what I can do to give it more of a fresh, clean, and bright look!?

Bright as far as lighting? Suggest uplighting and pinspot lighting on all centerpieces.

Maybe some uplighting. Like a white/yellow/goldish kinda color.

Have you thought about drapery? I had to do this on one wall of my venue because it was a horrid color orange. You can also use white Christmas lights or fairy lights with the drapery. (this is not a photo of mine because I haven't gotten mine from the photographer, but just to give a visual idea)

Hire someone and get draping all around. That's what I'm doing. And having uplighting as well. It looks like a totally different place

Uplighting would give the space a brighter look
