Making Your Spouse Your Phones Background

The Bride, on August 18, 2019 at 12:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 25
One of the first things people do when they get a new phone is set their background. However, if your in a relationship do you have to have your significant other as your background picture? And if you put him/her as your background would you be offended if he/she didn't have you as their background? Why or why not?

That’s incredibly childish logic. I truly couldn’t care less what my FW’s phone wallpaper is, unless it was another woman obviously, but then we would have bigger issues.

As long as his phone background isn’t like some obscene picture I don’t care. Personally I have had him as my background but tend to get bored with it. I prefer landscapes as my background and as my lock screen I have our fur baby. He usually has me as his background. There are no hurt feelings in this situation. As we are both secure in our relationship and don’t need validation from backgrounds. But every relationship is different

My children are my phone background. FH has an American flag photo as his background. I don’t see what it matters. It’s just a phone background.

My FH has me as his background. I don't have him. I don't feel the need to. He knows how I feel about him, I don't need to prove it to him by having him as my background, and I don't need to prove to anyone else. And I consider my phone as part as my personal space. I don't dictate to him what he does to his phone. So if he wants me to be his background photo, then so be it.

FH and my dog are my background but I couldn’t care less what FH’s background is. It seems pretty controlling to micromanage the content on your FS’s phone.

I don’t really care either way what my FW’s phone wallpaper is. We both have an engagement photo as our wallpaper, currently. But on my lock screen, I have a picture of our dogs. It’s not something I ever really think about. She can have whatever photo she’d like. It’s her phone.

I don't care what background he has really. He's not one for inappropriate things. It's his phone, his decision, I hardly even ever touch his phone. It's always cute to me when changes it to a selfie I sent him though! I think his current is one of me and our cat. Mine is my fave wedding picture. But really, it's just a picture on a silly object...

I am thankful that these are not things that I give any thought to.

My home screen background is my family tartan. It was chosen in part because it is dark enough so all the icons show up easily. For me, practicality overcomes sentiment on a computer/phone background.

My lock screen background is my name and the names and contact information for my "in case of emergency" contacts. That has two advantages. First, if I'm found unconscious, it lets whoever finds me know who I am and whom to call. Second, if the phone itself gets lost, it gives whoever finds it some numbers to call to get the phone back to me. Obviously, NotFroofy is the first name on my "in case of emergency" contacts. But it's her name, not her picture.

I'm on hers but she is not on mine. We don't care either way.

FH has a photo of us as his phone background. I don't though, and he's fine with that. It's totally personal preference!

If I had children I'd probably have them as my background too.
