Mantle Decor

Kristen, on May 6, 2019 at 11:27 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

I need a tall, wooden letter K for the mantle at our wedding. I'm not sure how tall it should be so I was just wondering what you all have done or would do...2 feet tall or 3 feet tall? If you've used a letter like this, where did you get it? I'm hoping to be under $50 for it.

We plan to put a garland of greenery, across the top of the mantle, maybe with two small white lanterns (about 10 inches tall) on either side of the K. Inside the faux fireplace there will be one bigger lantern one little lantern with garland or maybe our extra table runners around them.

I wouldn’t go over 24” for a mantle. Amazon & Etsy have different options for under $50.

Hey Kristen!! The mantel you are describing for your wedding sounds absolutely beautiful! I love that you will be using lanterns, they will be a stunning touch!

Will you only be using one letter or will you be using the initial of your SO also? If this image is from your actual venue, perhaps they would be able to shed some light on the size of the 'S' that is in the picture.

The K is actually for my future last name, so just the K! And they weren’t sure how tall this one was but I think they said 2 or 3 feet?

Oh I understand now! Perhaps a very simple solution would be to get a measuring tape and see how tall a 2ft and a 3ft 'K' will look on top of the mantelpiece.

Are you planning on having flowers mixed with the greenery on the mantel?Smiley love
