March 2023 vegas Honeymoon-best hotel?

Queen, on December 18, 2022 at 8:36 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 8
We are having a wedding with 10 guests and going to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and drinks Smiley smile - we are planning on going to Vegas the next day. What is the best way to get deals on flights and las Vegas packages? Also what is the best hotel to stay in for 3 days? Thanks 😊

Both Costco and Southwest have good package deals to Vegas. As far as the best hotel, that tends to be personal preference. I like to stay somewhere in the middle of the strip: Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Cosmopolitan...)

I agree with the suggestion to stay on the Strip so you’re in the middle of most the action and can easily get to other attractions in the city. The fun thing about Vegas is that most of the hotels are themed, so you and FH should figure out what vibe you want and go from there. Do you want to feel like you’re in Italy and go for a Gondola ride through the lobby? Go with the Venetian. Are you feeling ancient Egypt instead? Stay at the Luxor. There are many others. There are also a few nice ones that don’t have a theme but are very beautiful and can be romantic, like Wynn and Aria. A few of the themes do attract more families with kids, like Excalibur and Circus Circus, so if anything I would stay away from those. Also, Vegas packages are pretty abundant, so I would check the usual sites (Expedia, Trip Advisor, etc), and you’ll probably be able to find a reasonable bundle.

Check on youtube. The tangerine travels did some videos on las vegas (but the original couple broke up, so I'm not sure how things were settled after that. (They seemed to make their income largely off doing the videos. They weren't a travel agency. It is a new woman shown on the channel now.) But other videos should mention things to do and things to avoid -- and the best bargains.

Thank you for posting this! It’s actually super helpful to me as well. We are planning an elopement in Vegas, and didn’t even think about hotels that would attract families/children!

I was there in November for a show and really liked the newly renovated Sahara. It's independent, minority-owned, and even the other guests are nice. Bazaar Meats by Jose Andres is an amazing, sentimental fav. The Sahara is further north on the Strip so if you want to be more center to walk around (vs lying in bed all day), I'd suggest the Cosmopolitan or Aria. The Vdara is a no-casino resort with an amazing spa if you want more quiet. The Cromwell is pretty fun and smaller. The Bellagio and Caesars are cool, but the spaces are too crowded for me. I personally find the guests at the Wynn/ Encore off-putting, but the resort is pretty with nice fine dining. Ah, I lived there for a while then moved to NY, so New York- restaurants and resorts are not what I look for when going back. Btw, children are not allowed on the casino floor but they may be at the pool. There are definitely pools that are adults- focused. Best wishes.
