March 28, 2021 brides!

I started with around 560 days till our wedding so you are definitely not alone planning in advance! Now we are under 400! It went much faster than I expected! Sounds like you are really on top of things! My FH wanted to “enjoy our engagement” and wouldn’t discuss anything wedding for the first couple months, and I spent most of it doing research. We’ve got the ball rolling now with venue, DJ, photographer, and dress! I feel like the more that is done now the less I’ll have to stress about last minute, or at least I hope! Happy planning!

Well, I started off with 640 days. Now I’m at 425. Too long of an engagement...Lol! But we’re having a small (60 guest) DW in Vegas and it’s either too hot or too cold. So we skipped those months and went with Fall, also because we liked the date 10/10/2020.


Thankfully, almost everything is all-inclusive through the hotel. So there aren’t a lot of vendors to select on our own (just DJ, hair/makeup & cocktail hour entertainment). Dress and shoes are purchased, still need accessories, Invitations are an easy selection and we already decided on our STD’s to send at the start of new year.


So, we get to actually enjoy the engagement as I intended… without stress and without filling each day with wedding planning. All of the specific ideas/details for each part of our wedding celebration have been decided on: the welcome gathering on Friday, ceremony on Saturday, cocktail hour, reception, honeymoon and our “Happily Ever After-Party” (when we get back to Cali after the honeymoon). So the only thing is for all of it to be executed next October.

Not at all girl!! Mines on March 27th, 2021. I got the venue, it came with DJ and catering. I'm currently going to meet with different florists. I'm also looking for Photographers. I haven't gone dress shopping yet. But I did find one online that I absolutely love, however I still want to check the dress shops as well!! Not only am I indicisive, I'm a little picky, and we are paying for everything ourselves so I have to shop around. This way, I have plenty of time to do so!! My biggest fear is waiting too long to do things and then not having enough time to get everything done!! That's why I'm starting early, and I'm fine with that!! Would much rather be ahead of schedule, than behind schedule!! You're fine, girl!! I say go for it!!

You're not alone! I'm pretty far out as well with a May 2021 date (we got engaged 2 months ago). We booked our venue last week and have our bridal party selected. Our venue is all inclusive so a lot of vendors are already taken care of. I enjoy planning and being ahead of the game (my FH thinks I'm crazy) but like someone else mentioned it goes by quick. I wanted to not stress over pulling things together and have fun with the planning and my BM's. All so far so good; each month I am taking on a task and not stressing. I think my biggest challenge will be my dress but will cross that bridge in the new year. Enjoy the planning and congratulations!

View Quoted Comment Same! I found a few dresses online and was skeptical about buying them. I figured I just go to different stores & try them on. Totally ended up with something I wasn’t expecting but I love it. Having so much time definitely helps with making sure we’re all good with everything. Thank you! & Good luck with all your planning

View Quoted Comment Ahh meeting other brides in 2021 makes me feel so much better lol. Having inclusive makes life so much easier. I’m in Connecticut and not many places are all inclusive. So we’re responsible for the DJ, decorations and photographer/videographer. I know it seems far but I also know that this year is almost over 😩. My FH thinks I’m crazy as well. Only thing he’s been consistent about is pinning stuff to our wedding Pinterest board 😂. You enjoy your planning as well & congratulations to you two

View Quoted Comment Awesome I used a photographer for my FH’s surprise party last year and he was awesome. Trying to book local’s who are really good but trying to make a name for themselves (checking their credentials of course lol). Once we’re in to 2020 and I’m making that 2nd deposit to the venue in March, I know that’s when it will hit me. Like I said before, my FH doesn’t speak much about it. When he does, I get excited because it’s obvious that I’m overly excited haha. Congratulations! And happy planning
