I'm kind of leaning towards navy blue with light pink and pops of hot pink. which, i guess, could kind of be a mix of a winter and spring. maybe a nice... transition color theme?
My wedding is in march and even thought it will probably be more wintery here, we're treating it more like spring (since it is the first day of spring technically). my colors are mint, blush and white.
And I LOVE the flowers in march! Our main flowers will be ranunculus, anemones, garden roses, parrot tulips, accented with dusty miller, eucalyptis, herbs and some foliage in the centerpieces (our bouquets will be the flowers with just dusty miller and eucalyptis, centerpieces will each showcase a single variety and be accented with those, herbs and nice foliage for a more organic/unshaped look.)
I am a March bride. I am not considering it either spring or winter. Technically its winter (March 8). But wedding has no seasonal theme. Just gorgeous white roses!
@rachel i agree, technically it's winter. but in texas, it'd seem silly to think of it as a winter wedding because it'll be so warm. haha. that was kind of where my question was coming from. should i be literal with it? or just go with the "feeling" of it? lol.
i just figured that maybe looking at it from a seasonal standpoint might make it easier to decide on colors. buuut, it's seeming not. haha.
This is our venue. do you think those colors are too... "classy" for the rusticness? that's another thing i'm worried about.
part of me kind of likes the contrast of the clean, crisp colors with the rusticness of the aged tin, recycled wood and stained concrete floors. but another part of me worries that it contrasts too much and doesn't look right.
or i could just totally be over thinking this. which would totally be something i'd do...
I live in Canada and March is still very much winter here. SIL got married this past March and did hers with a winter theme with white, silver and light/medium blue.
I think the navy and pink would work lovely. You could do roses or tulips for flowers. They both come in light or bright pink.
