March weddings, did you choose a winter or spring look?

Grace, on November 15, 2017 at 2:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 28

What are other March planners leaning towards for their decor, etc?

I'm getting married in Chicago, so while my date is technically spring it could be 70 and sunny or 30 and snowing. At first I felt like I had to go with light spring colors/decor but decided on a more "winter" feel with dark colors. I'm just curious which way other have gone.

We are doing white roses with a ton of greenery. Not really learning towards winter or spring.

As for bridesmaids dress colors we went with soft greens, soft blues and gold.

We are doing burgundy, blush, black and gold, I didn't think twice about the season.

TBH, season didn't really play an effect on our choice. We are doing a light yellow & tiffany blue with grey as an accent color but the grey is slowly taking over for uniformity which I really like. We are aware the weather could be ANTHING (I am also in Chicago!) so we only made sure everything was indoors so weather doesn't affect our day.

We chose navy with shades of grey. I din't really think of the season just what colors we liked and complimented each other.

I don't know why I was so stuck on seasons, since no one else factored that apparently! Lol.

I ended up going with grey for FH and I (my skirt is light grey) and navy for the MOH and BM. Our florals are going to be ferns for the tables and berry/burgundy/ferns for bouquets and bouts.

I'm going with St. Patrick's Day, so we are going with a St. Patrick's Day theme. My goal is to not make it cheesy like we came off a box of Lucky Charms, so we are doing a darker green and gold with white flowers.

We're doing navy, blush and gold. My FH vetos anything too flowery because he thinks they're too "springy"

We went with a spring look. As our wedding is the day before Easter the church altar and aisles will be decorated with white Easter lilies and tulips. We decided to carry those flowers into our flowers and decor incorporating white roses and lavender accents. It worked in nicely with our original palette of lavender and silver.

Ours is a little more spring i think. I'm in Kansas so the weather is pretty unpredictable as well. My flowers are baby's breath and dried lavender. Our colors are purple and grey. But if it is cold, I have a beautiful vintage fur capelet. So It can kinda go either way.

We did spring I guess... dusty rose, gold, ivory and greenery. I didn't let the season dictate the colors though.

We're going with a shade of blue to be determined and plum, just because we like those colors.

Our wedding is in late April but our colors could be classified as spring colors. We're doing, peach/coral, mint, and gold. We're from Oregon so it will most likely be cold and wet on our wedding day.

We chose navy and gold with accents of coral and darker pink. With a lot of offwhite rope accents. We're doing an overly nautical theme so it fits.

We're going sailing unless it rains, so I really hope it will be spring-like out. Smiley smile
