Marriage Announcements- Misspelled Word!! >:(

EdieKristen, on October 19, 2011 at 7:31 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Oh My God I am soo mad at myself right now.

I made up my marriage announcements, and they look great, and I bought some linen cardstock at Joann's, printed them all 2 on each page and cut out all 65 of them, and as I'm getting ready to put them in the envelope I realize.... I freaking spelled a word wrong.

I made them on photoshop the night I decided to tell everyone, so it's like 12:30 at night and photoshop doesn't have an auto spellcheck, and somehow I just didn't even notice.

Do you think everyone will notice and think I'm an idiot, or is it easily overlooked? (hence why I'm not mentioning which word it is)

I can't even believe, with how anal I am about spelling/grammer, that I even did that. I just reeeally don't want to re-do them all Smiley sad

Honestly-- I had to read it about 2 times to notice anything. "Presense", right? Lol ... second time I read it slower but only because I was LOOKING for an error. I am anal too but if I did x amount I'd be so mad, I'd just leave it. There are so many words and flowers around the border, I don't think many will even notice...

Yikes! That's frustrating. What kind of paper is it?? If you like [and i know i may get a beating from other brides saying this] would it be possible to print out the word correctly on the same paper and paste over the mistake? .. of course if you do that you mind as well print out new ones since it'll take the same amount of time and effort.

Regardless of that they look good!

PS ... will you be exchanging vows at the celebration reception? If you're already married wouldn't it be 'renewing our vows'?

I noticed the first time through, but IMO, I don't think it's deterring enough... I'd just laugh it off and say "Well there is a reason I don't call my self perfect" when someone mentions it

I did notice it, but then again, I was looking for a misspelled word. If it's not in the budget to re-do, I wouldn't worry about it. But I am SUPER anal and I would need to fix that.

I also noticed it, but I may not have had I not been looking for a mistake.

Awwwww....leave it. like Merfy Lou said - use it as a "well we all can't be perfect" statement and let it go. Smiley smile don't let it stress you out. Smiley smile good luck!

I'd say if you can't afford to redo them, leave them! I doubt people will care, if they even notice.

I would redo them to fix the misspelling, and to substitute "renew" for "exchange." Leaving aside the misspelling, I think it's a bit confusing as it is.
