Marriage Certificate

Tamara, on June 16, 2019 at 5:37 PM Posted in Connecticut Planning 0 2
Hello , probably a silly question but I can’t find the answer on Google lol .
Im getting married in Fairfield CT and their application process says the marriage certificate is valid for 65 days after the day you get it . So does that mean that If I get it on July 1st , but get married on July 5th I can still hand it in any day between 2 months from July 1st and still have my wedding date on July 5th

sorry if its confusing ...

Hey Tamara! Oh my goodness, your wedding is fast approaching!! How exciting!

It certainly sounds like you can hand it in any day within 65 days of it being issued but I would phone your local government to talk to someone who will know 100%. You definitely don’t want to have the wrong information when it comes to your marriage certificate!!

Usually the officiant handles sending it back in.
