You and your fiance go to your county courthouse... bring your birth certificate and ID.

Exactly with Nisha said. You go to the county clerk in the county your wedding is being held. You’ll need birth certificate and ID, and there will be a fee for it and like any find government institution there is probably an additional fee for using a card so would bring cash

Many states only allow you to apply within 90 days of wedding. Google:. How do I get my wedding license in___(county), ___ (state)

You need to Google this because every state and every county is different. For example, two people said you needed a birth certificate but my state didn’t require one.

We got ours and we both had to be present, have our drivers license or I. D, birth certificate and had to give them our social security number. Hope this helps, oh and one more thing where I live they expire after 60 days. So if you don't get married and hand it in within the 60 days you have to get another one.

I agree with others that you need to check with the county clerk's office for the place you are getting married. For mine in NJ, I needed identification and we both needed to be there. We also needed a witness to sign the paperwork to get the license as well (and then we needed 2 witnesses to sign the license day of the wedding). It also took a few days before we could pick up the license, and I believe it was good for 60 days.

In Georgia, you don't have to go to the county where the ceremony is, any county will do as long as one or both people are Georgia residents. All depends on your state.

You have to go to your city’s courthouse. Also make sure you find out how long you have until it expires so you won’t get too too early for your wedding.
