Did you check with the British or American Embassy? Because the first thing in most foreign
marriages or US citizens living outside the US but marrying, is to get together your papers, certified birth certificate, other marriage, annulment or divorce papers for yourselves or relevant people has been to get your passport current, and visa all set, and you with all of the above to your home country consulate. There the documents are all checked out to make sure they are not forged, out of date. And to do the pre-marriage paperwork. Then to the consulate of the country you are marrying in, and they record everything in place. We helped with my cousin's marriage here last year. . They will add to your procedure anything needed for Covid or quarantine. They were then told to contact where they would marry about the license. Their US city clerk for the state they were marrying in faxed an application to the consulate, then when the whole packet was together, the authenticated papers all were sent by bonded courrier to our state. Beyond phone calls I initially made to state department then an embassy to find out the procedure, they recommend ed that once authenticated papers are together, they not go to any middleman. The business of stolen and forged documents is big, and their route of your hands, two consulates, and direct to marriage licensing office without other intermediates
was most secure and kept the paper flow moving fast. This was for a US citizen living in Denmark, marrying a Greenlandic citizen, where 1 parent Greenlandic, one US. I made some calls more die to their minimal English skills, but from UK, only get an intermediate rep if the consulate does not recommend a list of secure methods.

First pn consulate, certificate of no impediment and authenticated documents. Second is changes in marriage licences due to covid. Some do it all over the phone. some fax papers, then follow up will a phone call, no reps needed.

Hi Judith, thanks for all your help.

we are both British and coming to Florida in September, and getting married at Discovery cove, and heard that we could get a concierge service to do all the leg work in getting the licence so everything was done by the time we get there.
