So, I didn't really think about this when I was filling out the marriage license. So Iive in Wake County, NC and on the marriage license it says first name, last name (which are required) and then there is a spot that says birth name (which is not required). I want to change my last name to my FH but wasn't sure if I had to put that or my legal name right now on there. Any advice would be so helpful.
