Married Brides! How many guests didn't show up?

To all your happily married brides out there, how many of your guests RSVP'd yes but then didn't show up? I keep hearing expect 25% to no show! Can it be??

We had 149 (including kids) and everyone who RSVP yes actually showed.

We invited 237, so our decline rate was kind of high. We had a lot of out of town guests and it was winter in WNY so it's not all that surprising.

112 RSVPd yes, 107 attended. 2 were suddenly ill, 1 had a kid with a broken leg(her husband still attended) 1 groomsman's date decided something ridiculous was more important, and FBIL's friend just ditched. I'm a little salty about the last two but whatever. Day was perfect on all accounts so their loss.

I would be soooooooo salty at any no shows if they don't have a decent reason.

I'm not married yet but for what it's worth, I think that 25% figure is way off too. I only went to one wedding with a high no-show rate and there was some serious family drama a few days before the wedding so no one was surprised.

    190 invited

    150 RSVP'd yes

No shows: 7. Technically 4 - the other 3 gave us an explanation before the wedding, but after we already gave a final number.

We didn't have any no-shows. We had three people change their RSVPs to no after we'd paid for them. We invited 127 and 88 RSVP'd yes, so we had a high decline rate.

3 no shows out of 100 guests so 3%. We didn't know those 3 individuals; they were friends of our parents.

We had five no shows, but I can think of quite a few who didn't attend the ceremony, but came to the reception (which is just as rude if you ask me). And they were local.

@amanda how far out of town? We had 55 people total and everyone had to drive atleast 1.5 (more like 2 hours) to to get there unless they stayed over the night before. Every single one came on time and we started at the time on the invites. This is the norm in our circles.

    Invited 146, 122 accepted (84%)

3 people (2%) no showed. Wedding was 1 hour away for ~70% of guests and 7 hours away for the rest. I think the number you're seeing is how many people RSVP yes, not the percentage that no show.

ETA: The 3 were all under 1 hour away.

Umm, no. 25% of your guest list will not no-show. That is crazy. We had one. She had an accident and texted us the morning of the wedding to let us know.

We had two no-shows, a plus 1 who it turns out was never actually asked to come, and a friend who woke up with a stomach flu that morning. The friend did send a text, so I don't really consider him a no-show.

We had 3 people not show up. 2 were a couple from OOT who called to tell us that morning that both their young sons were sick so they would not be able to make it. The 3rd was a plus-one of a single friend, he ended up attending alone.
