Oof, this is tough. Since it's an ad and not an actual dating profile, I think the officer is being truthful. I would be upset if FH's photo was in a dating website ad, but I'd have to remind myself it's only an ad. Unfortunately, some ads are created with peoples' photos without their permission Smiley sad

In the article it says a profile was created using the officers email, dob, and other information. So either he made an account or someone made one using his info as a joke. I feel like in this instance, you’d really have to have a lot of trust in your spouse to believe this.

I agree that you'd have to have a lot of trust to believe this.

I would also consider the probability of someone stealing a police officers identity. Hmmmmm.....

He could be telling the truth. People go on FB and steal pictures to create memes, if he is telling the truth the company should get in trouble.
If he is lying he should have to pay Company.

I'll admit that in this day and age it's easy to steal someone's identity to create a dating profile. But I think someone would think twice before stealing a police officers identity. Unless it's a scorned ex.

I fully believe him. FB is known for stealing personal data. In addition, people (or bots) will use stock photos or steal photos from online sources all the time. I don't think anyone would think twice whether it's a cop versus any other professional. It's just another human being who looks normal and they can monopolize on.
