Masks for wedding party?

on March 7, 2021 at 9:19 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18
Hi ladies! What are your opinions on the bridesmaids wearing matching masks? Is it too over the top or do you think it will look nice all together if pictures are taken? Also, my bridesmaids are wearing different colored dresses, so I thought all of them wearing the same colored mask if needed will look nice. I even ordered some that were custom, and have their names on them so it’s personal and nice. I told my idea to my fiancé and he thought it was over the top and not needed. So I’m second guessing myself. I need your opinions, thank you!

I don’t think it’s over the top. You want to have the same consistency throughout. What about the groomsmen?

I asked my fiancé about masks for the groomsmen and he said they can just bring their own. He will not want to order those for the groomsmen

I don't want masks in my wedding photos, but to each their own.

Than I’d order some for them. Something that’ll match their suits.

We had the entire bridal party wear the same colored masks! It worked super well.
Good for you to want to make sure your friends stay safe!

I'm planning on getting mask to match their dress or for them to wear white ones.

I don’t think it’s over the top at all and you’re smart to think ahead! There was a bride on WW named Sherry who had beautiful matching masks that matched the dresses for her girls. Another bride had crystal and beaded masks that were so pretty!! One pro to going with the personal with their names is the guests know which bridesmaid they are (“oh that’s her college friend Jill”).
If by the time your wedding is post-covid, still great to have as a gift. Even before covid, I wore a mask whenever caring for a household member with the flu. They will be useful no matter what 😉❤️

Not a bad idea honestly. I mean I would rather have no masks at my wedding, and I'm hoping covid isn't as much as a thing for mine. But better matching masks than un matching ones, and the pictures should look really nice.

I don't think it's over the top at all. We are having some pictures done with the mask on and some without. I want to be able to look at the pictures years down the road and show my kids how weddings were during a pandemic.

Thank you! I am hoping Covid won’t be as big of a deal for our wedding in September, but if masks are still required I would want them to look nice.

I don’t know if we will for sure do pics with masks, but if people have to wear a mask at the venue I at least want the bridesmaids masks to look nice. But that’s a good point of having some pics with them since that is just our reality right now.

Yes! That’s what I was hoping that if they don’t need to wear the mask for the day, they at least have something they can use in the future and looks nice. I was thinking it would be one of their bridesmaid gifts on the wedding day

I personally don't want mask in my wedding pictures but I can reference what we're doing form my Bach!

We are going to Tennessee and they are still pretty strict so we will unfortunately have to have them. My MOH got everyone matching blush pink masks with names on them and they are pretty cute!

I will say, if your groomsmen aren't wearing a mask, or bringing their own, I personally wouldn't spend the money to customize the ones for the girls. I feel like it may look a little off with it just being them rather than everyone!

It's not what I would do, personally, but I definitely don't think it's over the top. I see it as a nice gesture for the bridal party, but also something that keeps your vision in mind. If your fiance doesn't care too much, how about getting just plain-colored masks for the groomsmen in a color that either matches or compliments their suits?

That’s what I was thinking of getting some plain ones for the groomsmen so at least if they have to wear them at the venue they look nice with the suits
