Mason Jars at a Discount/for cheap?

Mrs. S To Be, on May 2, 2011 at 4:19 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 17

Hi all, I'm looking to get around 120 mason jars for our guests to drink from for our wedding. The best price I've been able to find is around 9 bucks for 12. Anybody see em any cheaper?

I'm not sure how much cheaper, but if you use a coupon from Michaels they usually have one a week for 40% of your purchase. It might save you a lot and getting a case for really cheap!

Nope. Anything I see online will be higher at least thanks to shipping. Have you checked a restaurant/cooking supply store, or somewhere like Michael's? If you have a restaurant supply store around, you can find all sorts of kitchen stuff DIRT cheap.

I dont know where you are location wise, but I was in OSH (orchard supply hardware) and they had 12 for 5 bucks and often send out coupons as well.

We got a couple dozen from yard sales last summer. We still need more, and I know that if we don't find them at yard sales this summer, we figured out that the cheapest place around here is Walmart. I don't remember what they cost exactly, but I remember them being fairly reasonable.

Try yard sales. Walmart usually has them by the case this time of year for very cheap. Craft stores and Osh will have them as well. It's just a matter of comparison shopping.

Walmart has them year round down here, that's where I found them for the price above. Just figured maybe y'all might have some good leads.

I tried Michaels, AC Moore, and Hobby lobby. Michaels only sells them individually, no cases, otherwise I'd just go there every Saturday with that awesome coupon and go to town! Smiley smile Unfortunately OSH is in California, I'm on the opposite coast Smiley smile I'll keep looking!

Hey! I'm looking at doing the same thing. I found them for 12 for $5.76. That is the price w/o lids. Not a bad deal! They are the 16 oz size.

    Here's the link:

I'm going to buy those striped paper straws for them as well:

Rebecca, have you asked a manager at Michael's about ordering by the case? If they won't sell by the case to you, is there a vendor you can ask to order them? I buy glass bottles from them in bulk (I use the bottles for the unity sand ceremony). Maybe they sell to me because I'm a biz.

Not sure if you have an AC Moores by you but mine told me if you buy larger amounts of one item then will give you a bulk price around 20% and you can use coupons to.
