Matching decoration

Hey everyone!

I would like to ask your opinion about decoration. We plan to do welcome sign, drinks sign, a paper menu for the table, seating chart sign and so on...Our wedding colors are burgundy/peach/white and greenery. If the menu for example has this flowers, do you think all the other printed/sign should follow the same path of it’s okay if each of them is different from each other? For example if the invitation is the same style is gonna be tacky if the menu is on the same style?
Im thorn between being too matchy matchy and doing different stuff that none of them connects. It’s so hard to envision my wedding!
How did you girls do at your wedding as far as signs and overall decoration?
Sorry if it got confused 😂 I hope it makes sense what I’m saying! Thank you!!Matching decoration 1

Our signage and day of paper is being designed by our invitation vendor. Nothing will be exactly the same, but all have similar design elements so it looks like a suite. To be fair we only hired a vendor for invitations etc because we gave up trying to modify templates online, we were so frustrated it was unhealthy. I think you'll be fine regardless. No one but you care about the design elements you've mentioned. As long as it's easy for guests to read and understand you're completely fine.

I wouldn't make every sign have the same matching flowers, but you wouldn't want every sign to have a different design. That can look chaotic if you aren't careful. Instead, you could just have the same color font! That way it all ties in, but you won't have the business of the flower design on every sign you see.

Our wedding is minimal and classic, so we won't have any design for our signs. Just simple fonts.

I bought a “graphic set” off of Etsy.com and used a mixture of the graphics to design everything.
It included floral bouquets, floral wreaths, individual florals, letters & numbers with and without florals and some different backgrounds.
Super convenient way to be creative while keeping everything cohesive.

Yes this is what I was meaning about what our designer is doing! Ways to make it cohesive, but not the exact same!

I agree with the others. There are the same elements across all of our paper goods, but they won't be identical - I've bought several graphic sets from Creative Market and blended them together on canva to create our suite. Because they're various elements blended together, they don't have to be exactly the same.

I don't think there's anything wrong with them being the exact same though, if that's what you want!
