Matron of Honor- What are you grateful for?

MLS, on December 8, 2020 at 3:55 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

I saw someone's post earlier...and it made me think. What am I grateful for?

I've been stressed out lately. Planning and budgeting a wedding, especially during a pandemic when you don't know how things will look in 2021. There is one thing that has not failed, my amazing matron of honor. Honestly, I am going to tear up thinking about how amazing she has been. She has helped me overcome these mental hurdles. She helped me break down my budget. She has offered her home to host my bachelorette party. She is kicking her husband out for the weekend (LOL) so that she can host this for myself and my friends. She handles the bridal party. Literally, I was told not to worry about it that she would handle it. She has taken her time and energy to help me research and find vendors. She lets me store things at her home because I don't have space. She is amazing, I wouldn't be able to handle this process without her. I am so grateful for her.

She sounds really great Smiley smile

i mentioned this before somewhere on WW - my friend who did all the photography and videography - she is a wedding photographer and videographer. but she lives in a different state as me. when i told her it was costing so much to get photo and video service, she said she will do it for me completely free. so she literally saved me thousands of dollars.

Not only does she sound like an awesome matron of honor, but most importantly, an amazing friend! Like you, my sisters who are my maid and matron of honor, have been my rocks while planning during a pandemic - allowing me to cry and vent and helping me make some difficult decisions. They just threw me the most amazing bridal shower brunch this past weekend. They said they went over the top because they felt I had sacrificed so much by having to change my wedding plans due to the pandemic and they wanted to make sure I had a great shower. So grateful for them!

That's great! I'm thankful for my mother, my stepmother, my 2 MOH (sister and bestfriend) and my husband. They have all been sooo helpful and supportive in the planning of both our minimony and our upcoming big wedding. I definitely appreciate them all!

She’s not only your MOH, she’s an amazing friend!
My sister is my MOH & I don’t know what I’d do without her! She keeps my focused when I’m all over the place! Helps me calm down when I start freaking out! We’ve always been extremely close & I couldn’t imagine doing this without her. When I was getting back together with my fiancé, I was so scared I was doing the wrong thing. She sat me down & asked 1 question- “can you imagine your life without him? There’s always been a reason you find your way back to him. You guys belong together so stop fighting it!”

I'm thankful for my MOH as well. She's been my best friend for 13 years and I'm going through some stressful things with my family and some of my friends. She's been right there, listening, giving advice, sending virtual hugs (she lives in another city). Idk how I could do this without her and even told her that as long as she was there, I didn't need anyone else to show up for me. She's the absolute best and I'm so, so thankful for her friendship and love.
