MC & DJ Script/Plan?

They should organize this with you.

I booked a DJ team that has all that nailed down already...she gave us SEVEN pages of "homework" to fill out regarding our schedule and flow of the day and specific songs to play for the big moments. It's a chore, but I LOVE it and was happy to see that they are that organized and prepared. We aren't giving them any exact "wording" though as you mentioned...other than how we want ourselves and the bridal party announced. So, I guess you could say we're letting them wing it on that...but I'm very comfortable with them and their professionalism after having a couple of meetings.

My DJ called me the week of the wedding to plan the order of events and everything. He had like a form to fill out but I didn't do it, he just gave it to me to make sure I was thinking of everything.

I wouldn't write a script. You're paying good money for this person, so let them do their job!

My DJ had a form we filled out with all the music we would like and order of everything. Then he called us an went over everything with us.

I should mention, my MC will be my brother in law! So maybe that clears that up more haha. As for the DJ that makes sense that they would handle it in terms of music and timing

Your DJ/MC will work with you on outline/timing . Make sure you advise your entertainer on things you want or don't want- ie certain songs, routines, etc .

I just worked on this yesterday. My DJ had a "formalities list" for me to fill out, which I did. We are also doing a small ceremony at the reception, and I wrote out a script for that, since it is different from a typical reception. He and I are touching base 4 days before the reception to talk through everything.
