mdr Bridal Registry

Kylie, on November 18, 2018 at 6:01 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 21

I just went to my first bridal show today, and got called about being selected for a bridal package from MDR bridal registry. They say on the website no time shares or presentations required and the package includes a get-away (3 options, only have to pay taxes, and some airfare), $300 in restaurant gift cards, and a chef's knife. Only stipulation is my fiancé and I both have to attend a one hour event (I am guessing similar to one of those one about a timeshare- but for bridal options). Anyone know of this company or heard anything about them?

Is it a scam??

I've never heard of them. I'd be leery of things like that.

It's not a scam, but it will be a very high pressured sales pitch for their products. Also the taxes and fees aren't cheap.

I agree with the others, I would definitely do your research before committing to anything.

I went to another one of these last week. They want you to buy their cookware which is super expensive. We went just for the free vacation and the gifts which were rings and a gift card for a free photo.

If you want the free gifts go. They give you the option of a domestic trip or a trip to Bahamas Dominican Republic or Mexico

It was a total waste. So they offer all these great gifts but you have to pay a processing / activation fee for each gift! The other show I went to with this cookware did not do this and they had way better gifts.

Folks if you get a call to attend a bridal registry cookware presentation from either Bridal registry or MDR don't go. Its a total waste. The speaker said he would be done by 945pm we did not get done until 1030. The free gifts are not free. Pure Life Products charge an activation fee for every gift. I had to pay 13.00 to get the vacation voucher, they want 15.00 for the engraved spreader but worst of all they want 30.00 for the 300.00 worth of restaurant certificates. There was another company that did the same presentation of cookware and they did not charge anything for their gifts. You obviously have to pay shipping and handling for things and taxes for the trip but not all these ridiculous processing fees.
