Meditation

Shaina, on July 1, 2019 at 11:44 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8

I have done self practice with Yoga for a few years now and stopped a little bit after I got engaged. Yoga helped me get through a lot and released my mind and I regret not keeping up with my practice. I just did meditation for the first time in the long time for 10 min and I felt a sense of relief, self love, no judgement, and strength. I have been going through so much since FH and I got engaged money future in law stuff(both sides), intimacy, communication, etc and I just get so overwhelmed. Just wanted to come on here and say how much this helps Smiley smile I hope you all find ways to relieve stress during this planning time especially.

Take care of your mental health too Smiley smile

    Good advice
Sometimes things get overwhelming and people want to soldier through it when it's ok to take a breath and compose yourself

I agree. I am one of those people sometimes I just want to keep pushing through and feel there is no time for the soft mushy stuff and when I actually do meditation I I realize how wrong it is not to. At least for me lol Smiley smile

Thank you for the reminder, mental wellness is so important, and making time for it during times of stress and pressure is really necessary. Good luck getting through all the challenges you're going through, keep meditating!

Is there anything you use to guide your meditation (app, book, video, etc.)? I have been wanting to try something, but I'm not sure how to jump in and start.

Also If you get dizzy, I learned that its just the process of deep breathing. You end up giving your body a lot oxygen through the process so sometimes it could be do lack of food, stress, or sleep. Its okay to rest or take a quick nap lol I remember I was so confused when it happened but it kind of lets yourself feel what your body is telling you it needs after and with wedding planning I am sure people will need a lot of rest

Totally agree! With planning a wedding in 7-8 months I haven’t made it to my yoga studio in forever! I miss it so much!! Wedding is now 1 month out so I really need to make time to attend classes again so my head is clear and stress level is in check on the big day.
