Mediterranean cruise?

I personally hate cruises, and would ONLY do them in the Med. That's actually a pretty light itinerary - lots go to Egypt, Israel, etc.

Been on two in the Med, preferred the bigger boat (more options on at-sea days, which you will have if you end up going to Egypt, etc). Like RC better than Princess.

Find one that also goes to Croatia if you can manage it.

Thank you. I actually didn't look for any other itineraries because it was that particular ship that got me so excited, and the dates worked I've never been to Europe and FH has family members from Italy so that's been on his short list. I like cruises, he loves them. I mean loves them. Like doesn't consider anything else a vacation. Disney? Yellowstone? Those aren't vacations, just a week off from work.

I have been to all these places, all beautiful.

Cat, I have never done it, but a close friend of mine did a 2-week Mediterranean cruise and it looked amazing. She loved it, although it was sort of jam packed with stuff. But she loved getting to see so many places in one trip!

Agree with @m about Croatia! Croatia is amazing.

We've only done an Asian cruise back in 2013. Exotic but definitely a worthwhile and fun experience! Sounds like a Mediterranean cruise is incredible. I would love to, if given the opportunity.

That sounds like a great trip but I also hate cruises! We were in the Greek Islands for our honeymoon and when the cruise ships rolled in it just seemed miserable. Everything was so crowded for like three hours and then the cruise groups left before the sun was even setting. Doesn't seem like the best way to experience those wonderful locations.

Sorry I am a downer If you already know you like cruises you will probably love it.

I'm doing a Mediterranean cruise in May for our honeymoon on Celebrity for 12 nights. We have never been to Europe and we love cruises, so what better way to see as much as we can? Typically for vacations we do Caribbean cruises as well which are a mix of relaxation/adventure. I want to see the world and adventure this time around, when else can I take 3 weeks off of work?

We start off in Rome, see a few cities in Italy and Greece, they just removed Istanbul due to it not being very safe right now there so we are going to Crete instead, end in Barcelona. I'm sure you'll have a great time and you don't have to take a honeymoon right after your wedding, we are going over a month later...

We are doing a 7 day Mediterranean cruise in May for our honeymoon through NCL. It goes to the cities you listed plus two more. We are super excited about it. We've only done one cruise before and it was a disney cruise in the Caribbean.

Thank you all for your input! What I've learned so far is 1. I won't be getting any actual work done this afternoon because I have to look for itineraries that include Croatia. 2. I should consider a longer stay...anywhere.
