Meet The Bridal Party?

Katie, on August 4, 2017 at 5:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 26

What did y'all do/make to show everyone who is in your bridal party?

Like giving the names, relationship to bride/groom, role day of etc.

I am trying to avoid printing programs if possible because I just think it's a waste of money.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing. They were on the website and were the ones standing up there. Some gave speeches. Honestly nobody cares about the WP. They are your honored guests but nobody else is really going to care who they are to you.

I am not doing anything for the guests, but since the majority of the wedding party doesn't know each other I asked them to fill out a simple survey (Name, Role, Location, Occupation, How you met us, Picture). This way they're not total strangers at the rehearsal. Just finished it and sent it out yesterday!

Lotti...um...I think that might be a little bit overboard?

I don't want to have to fill out a survey to be a part of someones BP. If it was that important to you I think that is something you should have put together yourself, since presumably you would know all the answers to those questions if they are close enough to be in your BP...

ETA I did absolutely nothing. Like Erin said, no one really cares!

ETA2: actually I did write their names on my website but that's it!

Considering i have my sister, 2 cousins, FSIL, and best friend since kindergarten in my bridal party they all know each other already and everyone who doesn't already know them at the wedding will know who they are by their dresses. Their only role the day of is get their hair and makeup done, put on their dress and get their cute little asses to the wedding.

    ETA: what @celia said .....

I'm just having Dj announce they're named in pairs while they walk out in front of everyone and then doing this cute Pinterest idea on a table for those who are interested in knowing more (relationship to bride/groom, etc)

Well, they'll be in different attire than the rest of the guests, they'll be standing at the front during the ceremony, announced into the reception and sitting at tables together so I'm pretty sure your guests will know who is a member of the BP and who isn't...

We are having a church ceremony, so it will probably go into a program what their names are. But if I was not having a church ceremony, I would not have anything. Most of them all know each other, and for the ones that don't, it doesn't matter lol

No one cares which is why I'm not doing programs. I think we will have the DJ announce them in their pairings though. ETA I did put their names/roles on thr website

All my bridesmaids and my MOH are familiar with each other. I created a online chat group with all five of us. My baby sis, my cousin, a close friend from 10 years and my MOH which is my BFF

I'm planning on doing the same as @amanda s! If people are curious (as I usually am) then they can read, if they don't care, then no one is twisting their arms to make them read it

@Stephanie that's exactly what I was thinking! I always want to know about the bridal party whenever I attend weddings! But I guess that just makes me one of the few that do care Smiley smile

Ours pretty much all knew one another, and those who didn't met at the engagement party. We listed their names on the site, and I have a whatsapp chat with my bridesmaids, but we rarely talk about wedding stuff....we just chit chat about whatever!

They are on our website and we are having programs so their names will be on there as well. The DJ I will of course announce them as they enter reception.
