"Meet the Maids" table?

Cute idea! I've been thinking about programs introducing the bridal party at the reception but I love this!

One of my bridesmaids, who was just a bridesmaid back in April also, did this at her friend's shower. It looked nice!!

I'm sorry..but do people really care about this? I have zero interest in the bridal party when I go to weddings.

I have to agree with Snarky. This feels like a waste of time because frankly most people don't really care all that much.

It looks cute on Pinterest but in real life it's not practical. I don't think anyone really cares who the bridesmaids are and it seems like a waste of money and effort to put together a table. The day is about the bride and groom so that's who people are concerned with.

My sister gave us pins/badges to wear at her shower, but since we sat together, and helped with the gift opening and moving out to the cars, it wasn't needed. I don't think I've worn a pin/badge since it was my 10th birthday.

Both she and I put photos and bios of our bridal party, on our websites. The website address went on our save the dates and invitations, so if guests wanted to find out about us, they could have looked at the website.

I think that's a pretty cute idea, especially if a lot of the guests haven't really met each other yet and wouldn't already know the BP.

Cute idea, waste of time and money in my eyes. My BM's wanted to be in the shadows and not the center of attention, told me that was my job LOL.

I want a way for the guests at the shower to get to know the bridesmaids. I know it's all about the bride but my bridesmaids have worked so hard to plan and host my shower. So it's a way to give them proper recognition. And hopefully make them feel special. The frames I purchased were a $1, I printed the picture for $1, and made the sign for $2.

I think it's very sweet of you to want to honor your BMs. Chances are that at some point, your shower guests will take a look at your photo display. Will they remember the maids? No, most of them won't. Do they actually care? No, again. However, if it's costing you next to nothing to set up this display, why not? At the very least, your BMs will appreciate it.

I would do this at the shower rather than the wedding, but only if the shower is being hosted by the bridesmaids. Then it gives a chance for all the guests to get to know the bridesmaids who are hosting them.

Its a cute idea. But I'm probably not going to do it, since it will just give me something else to do lol. But if were to do it, I would do it in a board format using more pictures than words, kind of like this:

If you do this PLEASE use bridesmaids instead of just "maids" ...I think brides are awful when they refer to their dear friends as maids. Sounds like they're your servants.

.....umm. Maybe some pictures but no one is going to read a full biography on people they don't know or care about.

Also agree with kaylarae. Use the full word. Saying "maids" sounds insulting actually.
