Hey y'all.

Before I start talking about what's going on in my brain, please know that I am so stinkin' excited to marry my best friend in just 15 days!

However, I don't know if it's wedding stress, work stress, my depression/anxiety kicking in or what, but I have been feeling so down lately. Today has been the worst. I don't want to say anything to my fiance because he is traveling today for his bachelor party and I don't want to worry him. We both suffer from extreme anxiety that we're both medicated for it (please keep your opinions about anxiety/depression medications to yourself if you do not agree with us on this - we found something that works for us and that's what matters). He's very protective over me when it comes to my feelings of anxiety/depression because I seem to have it worse than him and he gets very worried and hates to have me out of his sight when I'm feeling like this; only because he does absolutely everything for me, cuddles me, and constantly talks me up. He's such a great guy & I am so extremely blessed & excited to be marrying him. Smiley heart

Anyways, it's so frustrating because this is the time in my life where I'm supposed to be the most excited, right? It makes me feel like something is just extremely wrong with me because I feel so down. Is anyone else feeling like this or have felt like this before their wedding? Smiley sad

Try and remember that anxiety can be triggered by good feelings too. Excitement, nervousness, frenetic energy...they all come with the good things in life too. Think of being a little kid on christmas eve. You can't sleep because you are so excited about Santa coming...its sort of in the same vein. As an adult those feelings can cause so many things that it may feel overwhelming but may not necessarily be a bad thing. I know feeling anxious is uncomfortable but try and remind yourself that you have a big event coming down the pipeline and it is going to be filled with love and so much joy - not to mentioned it takes a lot of work. Be kind to yourself and hang in there.

Thank you! I ended up just having to go out with my mom, talk to her about things, and just go hang out (which I haven't done in a while). It was nice and I definitely wrapped myself in the blankets with his pillow. Smiley smile Our animals also comforted me that night because they knew something was off.

I am feeling much better after this weekend. I just relaxed and did absolutely nothing. Sometimes that works for me and thankfully it worked this time!

I saw some being sold in Target recently for a pretty decent price. No worries. Sometimes just knowing that others have the same struggles help so much.

I understand you 100%! I am too busy with fighting with my anxiety to enjoy the time before the wedding day. What helps me is to ask myself why am I nervous for no reason, or why do I need to be, and I make self think of different things. It is definitely hard and was just recently put on medicine for it. Everything you are going through will be worth it once the wedding is over! We can do this together!!

I'm extremely sorry to hear that you are struggling with anxiety/depression. I can only offer this advice you need to do the things that don't stress you out the most. Take some you time. Go see a show, get a mani/pedi do a massage, have a nice meal.

When my sister had her last episode it was bad we had all the girls come over for a cook-off/ sleepover just the laughter and giggling plus the good food helped calm her down. She felt much better after being surrounded by people that loves her.
