Menu Cards at each table?

I'm having a fully seated buffet for my reception. I wanted to set up 2 menus at each side of our buffet (it's a double-sided buffet) so that people would know what was on the line. I was going to order menu cards from the same designer that did our wedding invites, but the smallest number I can order is 15. I have 13 dining tables, so I was thinking about going ahead and purchasing the minimum number (15) and putting 1 menu per table plus the 2 on the buffet line. Do you think that putting 1 menu per table would be helpful or confusing for the guests? I don't want them to think that it's a plated dinner. I thought it might be helpful for them to see what was being offered before they get to the line so that it might move faster. Thoughts?

Venue LayoutMenu Cards at each table? 1

I'm doing it based off of this! Our venue layout. I've labeled all the tables (which will be the table numbers) and I was planning on doing 3 tables at a time. Hope this helps!

How expensive are the menus? Could you fit a menu per place setting into your budget? Just rest it on top of each plate and that way everyone can take their time looking at their own personal menu.

    You don't need menus.

We thought about getting them and our DOC told us they were a waste of space and money.

If you put them on the buffet line it will slow people down trying to read them and hold up the line more.

We are having a served buffet, so if anyone has any questions on what something is, they can ask the wait staff serving them.

We also skipped menu cards on the tables because I didn't want them to junk up my centerpiece decor.

They're pretty expensive for what they are....I was already planning on only buying 2 for maybe $5-10, so upping that to 1 per person would be astronomical lol.

I would put a tented card in front of each item on the buffet stating what it is and indicating any potential allergens or lack thereof (i.e. if it's gluten-free or vegan, if it contains nuts, etc...). I don't think menus at the tables are necessary for a buffet.

I think that's helpful and fun for guests to read and plan what they'll take (I hate when I take too much of something assuming it's the main option then realize there's something I would have rather taken down the line!). I would title it "Buffet Menu" and maybe a line about "tables will be dismissed starting at (time) for dinner" underneath.
