Mermaid dress bustle ideas

How is everyone bustling their mermaid or trumpet gowns. My first alterations appointment is April 10th and though I’m no fan of bustles, after learning they are not permanent and more of a button to shorten the length to dance, I’m more willing to get one. But if you could share pictures of your mermaid/trumpet bustles so I can get an idea that’d be great!
