For any of you ladies that are married and wore a mermaid dress or already bought your dress and will be wearing a mermaid dress was it difficult to sit, walk, dance in? I have only been interested in the mermaid silhouette and just started to really think things through. The dress I absolutely love Kazane by Winnie Couture fit wonderful but would not be very comfortable to dance (or even walk long distances) in. What was your experience?

Here is a pic of me in the dress when I tried it onSmiley smile Didn't buy it because of the cost but I love the way it fit me!

Amazing element of the detachable train!! It is a beautiful, showstopper dress. I tried on a Mermaid style that I really liked but I did try walking around the store and sitting in it and I felt like I was going to have to think too much about those actions. I went with a fit and flare.

Gorgeous dress! Stunning! Mine is a fit and flair and I had my seamstress modify it to more of a mermaid. She had pinned it to a true mermaid and I couldn't walk well or sit down! So I kept it a modified mermaid and trust me, I'm a "beautify over comfort" girl, but I just couldn't do it...

The dress is absolutely stunning and looks like it was made just for you. however, one of my friends wore a mermaid dress to her wedding and was extremely uncomfortable sitting, walking, and she looked like a robot on the dance floor. it was actually kind of sad. her standing photos were breathtaking, but you could tell in her other photos that she was terrified of ripping her dress.

I definitely feel you! My seamstress said to lift it a little when you sit/dance and it will give you enough room!!!

Thanks that's encouraging! i have a dress that looks very similar to you, and I am worried about the first dances. My fiancé and my dad are not the smoothest dancers and I dont want them to step on me. Did you find the one on one dancing challenging ?

You can ask the seamstress to raise the hem on the trumpet to make it more fit and flare.
