Mesh Vs. Chiffon

Jenna, on November 2, 2021 at 12:49 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I decided I am going to use Azazie for my bridesmaids dresses, however I am not sure what material to get. I have heard mixed reviews about both. I was thinking of giving the girls the options of picking Mesh or Chiffon, but I also want to make sure that they still match so I am not sure if the coloring would be off depending on the material? Has anyone gone that route or should I just pick one? Do you prefer one material over the other?

Order samples if you can to see the colors and fabrics in person. By mesh, do you mean tulle? Chiffon is considered softer and is more popular.

My wedding dress from azazie has tulle and chiffon, both are very nice. I think chiffon is more bridesmaid ish, and tulle more bridey traditionally. As far as color variations, i think thats likely. Their return policy and sample options are great, so maybe order those

Azazie calls it mesh, but yes, I would say it's kind of a tulle.

OP, the samples ordered from Azazie will include every fabric that color is offered in and you'll be able to see each sample against each other for your reference! I was going to give my BMs a color to move forward with and about 30 dresses that match the style I was picturing and let them pick fabric and silhouette from those.

Mesh and chiffon are VERY similar, I used Azazie and told my girls they could get either material because when I ordered the swatches, they were very similar and you really couldn't tell much of a difference. Mesh is NOT tulle, it's a nice stretchy material so it works nicely if someone needs a bit of stretch in their gown. I'd suggest ordering one of Azazie's swatches so you can feel and see if the difference will matter much to you, the $2 swatch gives you almost all of their materials, I think only leaving out silk.

You literally cannot tell the difference between the two in photos. Mesh is not tulle at all. Tulle is stiff and fluffy, mesh lays very flat and is essentially a stretch chiffon. I wore mesh in a wedding last month in the same color as the other chiffon gowns and it looked exactly the same from farther than like 6 inches away.
