My official apologies to the royal family for mentioning Meghan Markle twice today - but it's got to be said. Smiley tongue I thought intentionally messy buns were just a thing you obsessed over in middle school, but apparently they are also a style you shell out big bucks for on your wedding day! While I'm very glad we've moved away from over-styled prom-like hairstyles (especially for bridesmaids), I'm not sure how I feel about "I woke up like this" wedding day hair!

Tell me what you think! Messy wedding updos - are you into it or over it ?

A formal gown with a hairdo that looks like you haven't brushed it looks weird to me. There's a difference in something not being overstyled and being messy. Messy doesn't belong at a wedding with a ball gown just like jeans don't.

Over it..idk it kind’ve just looks like rolling out the bed & putting something together to me. But then again I have a different texture & dont wear my hair that way..guess it depends on thr bride.

I like the look period. For weddings, I think it needs to match the vibe you are going for: casual, semi-formal.

Over it. It's so informal now, it's like something you would go to work in. Loose buns and things are prettier to me.

I could never pull off messy, so I guess I'm over it? I think it works for the most part, depending on the vibe of the wedding, but some messy updo photos I've seen online look like they were done by a 5 year old. Heck no when I'm paying good money!

Into it! I am not into "pristine" hairstyles, because life is not perfect, we are not perfect, and there is something beautifully rebellious about strategaclly "messy" hairstyles.

I am over messy updos. I do prefer formal events, like a wedding, to have a more refined feel.

I'm over it. I'm definitely interested in more relaxed styles, but all I can think of when I picture myself with something like that, is hearing my dad saying it looks like a rat's nest. (I personally dont mind this style, I just have that stuck in my head Smiley xd )

I’m leaning more towards over it with this one..I prefer a look that’s not too formal and not too who did it and ran.

I don’t think it says wedding, or bridal, it says I woke up and forgot to brush my hair.

Over it. I wear my hair like that to clean my house - does not belong in a wedding.

Just looking at this picture makes me cringe. When I did wedding photography brides would always demand that every stray hair be photoshopped out. NIGHTMARE
