Metal lantern for aisle decor

Private User, on April 30, 2015 at 5:13 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

I am trying to find lanterns that will be big enough for aisle decor, I know ikea sells them pretty cheap. I am just afraid they will be too small to use. They will be on the ground. Has anyone used them, if so do you have pictures? Or does anyone have any other ideas of where to get good ones to use. Thanks so much!

I found some really tall ones at Homesense but they're a 'hit and miss' type of store. I've seen some big ones at Micheal's too.

Yes, we have them from ikea, they are very nice for the price. we are doing every other pew, first we are putting down toole along pews. Then bows on the pew with no lantern. The are more white... but not a bright white. They are not small at all I would say they are more med size.

There seems to be a good range of size and style at Michael's.

We found ours at Ross for $8 each. They are plastic but look metal.

We are using lighthouse lanterns. They are 14" tall. They open from the bottom and you can put a led or live candle in it.

ETA: Sorry about the side way picture. We ordered them from Hobby Lobby. They are white and metal.

Michaels, Hobby Lobby and I found some really nice ones at Pier One.

I was going to go the lantern route but it was much easier going the floral route I did not like the ones he had and did not want to get stuck owning too many lanterns.

Ikea had pretty large ones, like 14" or larger for $15. Otherwise if you want really large ones I just saw done at costco for like 30 a piece.

I am also lining my aisle with lanterns! I got mine from Oriental trading. They have them in black, white and silver I believe. They are 2 different sizes - 12 inches and 16 inches. They look great! You get a set of 2 for $25. http://www.orientaltrading.com/black-lanterns-a2-96_2089.fltr?Ntt=black%20lantern

Pier One and World Market, World Market is cheaper. they have them like this for around $10 each!

12-14 inch is perfect. anything under 10 inches is definitely too small.

I think my friend who got married this past January may be looking to sell some. She used them as centerpieces, but they might be big enough. PM me if you are interested and I'll ask her. I don't have pics though.
