Miami wedding

Brittany, on August 19, 2020 at 2:49 PM Posted in Florida Planning 0 11
Hi friends,

So I’m attending a wedding in Miami in October. What are some of the guidelines put in place and are masks required? Is there a limit on the amount of guests? I’m just trying to prepare myself to be as safe as possible.
I’ve googled Miami restrictions but haven’t gotten any definitive guidelines.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!

You should check the Miami-Dade Covid page.

I did but there’s no real answers to any of my questions. And a lot of the updates were pretty old

Hi Brittany! Right now there is a mask mandate in Miami-Dade county, so I'd definitely plan on wearing a mask!

It's tough to figure out the exact details, but I believe there are still restrictions on indoor dining and gathering limits in place as well. Right now the state-wide Florida limit on social gatherings is up to 50 people permitted (or 50% indoor capacity)!

Hello. I am in Tampa Bay but south florida has become a huge hot spot. Even schools will be virtual for a bit because of how much the cases spread there. I would say for your safety wear a mask because it is not worth catching corona. Florida is a huge hot spot all over just about. As far as I know no guests but I would stay up to date on tourism as I just saw an article that they are making a decision on limiting tourism. Not sure the details but I am just gonna say you do what you need to do. No one will arrest or fine you for not wearing a mask I believe but I just say for safety do so.

I’m actually from Florida but I live in lake County and there’s little to no changes here really. My city enforced a mask mandate about a month ago.

The big cities like mine, Tampa Bay, cases are going up like crazy. I mean masks for stores and stuff are one thing but it depends on the venue. What did the bride say? I am just saying I would not even step foot in Miami right now lol so I would wear a mask and take precautions.

Well they gave us very little information unfortunately and their original venue canceled on them so they chose one in Miami last minute.

We’re originally from Fort Lauderdale so that makes a lot of sense. But in all honesty Miami is another world so I have no idea what the mandates are.
Florida varies so much from county to county...

Yeah it is true. I do not know anyone living down there I can ask. I mean in Tampa Bay masks are required esp in stores and it is rare but I have seen people unmasked and no one is forcing them to leave the store or anything. Nothing that will get you fined or jailed lol. I would buy a pretty mask and bring it just in case and just feel out the situation.

I definitely will. And honestly I wouldn’t be going if my fiancé wasn’t part of the wedding party.

LOL I understand you there. I like Miami but not leaving one hot spot for another. Smiley smile

Governor just had a press conference today. The governors website is current and up to date.

I’ve had no issues with finding the restrictions a with FL and Monroe County
