Micro Wedding Event Time ?

Futuremrs.murphy, on July 28, 2021 at 8:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

My fiance and I are planning a micro wedding with no more than 20 guest . We would like a sunset ceremony so the invite time will be 6PM , ceremony will start as soon as the sun starts to set so around 6:15-6:20 . We plan to try and catch a few sunset photos after . Then proceed into dinner around 7:00PM or so. With the entire event ending at 9PM. So my main question is : Is that enough time ? Keep in mind we aren't doing all the big wedding stuff mainly just dinner and dancing . Thanks in advance !

My friend did a micro wedding in October and it was around 3 hours also. However, they did even more pictures after everyone left. They also did a first look before the ceremony. Depending on how important photos are to you, I’d recommend doing a first look to be sure you get more photos during daylight. If you don’t want a lot of photos and are fine with the short amount of time, then I think it’ll be fine.

Good point . We did want to get some photos done before the ceremony. After the ceremony is just the sunset pictures.

Golden hour, which has the best lighting for photos, is the hour leading up to sunset, so I agree with Sarah about taking photos before the ceremony!

Hi ! 3-4 hours should be OK I think... if you're not detained by your guests ;-)
