Micro-wedding Venues

Carissa, on December 27, 2022 at 11:52 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hi y'all! My fiance and I are looking to be married in September of 2023 however, I keep running into the issue that our wedding is too small (maybe 35-40 guests). Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, what alternatives did you seek?? Pls help.

You may have to look into non traditional venues. Browse thumbtak, possibly could use a restaurant if they have a small event space.

I would look at restaurants that have an event room. Congrats!

I agree that restaurants may be your best bet, but many venues that cater to corporate parties (as opposed to pure wedding event venues) have options beyond the main ballroom, so I would cast a wide net including hotels, mansions and country clubs (if those types of places fit your vibe).

It may take some legwork, but your perfect place is out there.

Maybe try event spaces or museums. The non traditional venues will prob work best for you. Good luck!

We had a guest list of around 35. We used a basement of a Victorian mansion. Another location was an art gallery. I know some museums host weddings too. Best of luck.

One couple had planned a coffee cafe for their ceremony and reception. The place is normally closed on Sundays but was willing to be the site for the wedding. Lots of people here saw that as a great idea.

We're looking at about 10-12 people and I've been told the same thing a few times - too small, don't meet minimums. I've had luck researching "intimate" or "micro wedding" venues in my area. Seems like a lot of the places around me that support a smaller wedding are inns! They have those smaller spaces Smiley smile

If you're willing to get married a Mon-Thurs, most venues allow small weddings to take place since it's unlikely they will fill those days.
