Micro Wedding?

Kaitlyn, on February 9, 2021 at 8:01 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 11

Hi everyone Smiley smile

Is anyone considering or doing a Micro wedding? Like 50 guests or less. Where did you find your venue? Anyone in NJ please let me know where you're having it, I'm looking for some and having a little trouble..

We were originally having a 30 person wedding but have since cut it to around 10 people. We were able to use the same venue which we found on herecomestheguide.com

Micro weddings are usually 2-20/25 guests. Elopements are typically 0-2 guests max.

Take a look at eventective.com for venues since they have a wider selection than most sites.

Piggy backing onto this comment, I found a lot of different sites and venues use different phrasing (i.e. micro, small, intimate, elopement, tiny) so use all of these and others when searching for your venue. Best of luck!

I have 3 lists, 1 of 25 guests, another of 50 and the original at 125. We've moved our date once already and now we're kinda just thinking of making it much smaller than planned and doing it this year instead of next. 🤷‍♀️

I agree with other suggestions. Our wedding had a total of 10 of us on a church lawn. But other places we looked we're restaurants, distilllery, and brewery's (which would typically not be big enough for a whole wedding, but are alot more affordable too). Not sure what's open in Jersey now. Also it's worth looking into co-working spaces. They're hourly rental and don't have any event management team, but it can work if you have an idea of what you want and it isn't too hard. My cousin had her wedding last year in a co-working space. A good place to check is peerspace.com

Several places are starting to put small/micro weddings in play and you can save a ton of money. There is a really nice Double Tree that has an amazing room, perfect for Small to mid size Weddings.

We went to the court house and had an out door BBQ with social distancing. Guests wore masks when they had to go to the bathroom. We checked temps too. Maybe Rutger's Gardens or a hotel. I wish you luck.

Royce Brook in Hillsborough may do a wedding of 50 in the actual restaurant area.

I’m currently searching for my brother and SILs upcoming wedding, I found a number of places that hosted smaller weddings when I was married in 2015 and have a Pinterest board of what I found for wedding and shower options.

So this depends on where you are located but the Loft at Jack's Barn looks like a perfect option! (The only downside to that is there are no hotels within reasonable driving distance really).
