Hey everyone! I'm curious to know how everyone is handling the planning for mid-to-late 2021 weddings. Hey everyone!

I'm curious to know how everyone is handling the planning for mid-to-late 2021 weddings. We already have our venue, DJ, photo/video booked, however, I don't know if we should continue planning (as normal) or not due to all delays with CO-VID! I don't even know if I should order Save The Dates as of yet. ((Since we are getting married on a holiday weekend, they should be sent 10-12 months in advance)). What are your plans?

Ours is May 2021 - we were supposed to have our wedding this year. It was all planned, so we just had to move all of our vendors. There are a few things I need to finish up decor-wise but I'm just continuing on as normal. I would do the same if I were you!

Thats good to know. We have to reach out to our venue as well and discuss the steps for rescheduling or downsizing. I'd much rather downsize and keep our original date that reschedule.

Did your venue require a minimum guarantee? IF so, how did you arrive at the max. of 50 for your guest list?

I've been hearing that some venues won't allow a dance floor as a part of the COVID restrictions. Did your venue tell you anything like that?

Got it! Sorry to hear that you had to postpone but definitely hoping things workout sooner than later!

We are planning a mid-November 2021 wedding and are continuing planning as normal... We are actually focusing a little bit more attention on hiring our must-have vendors sooner rather than waiting a few more months like we had initially planned. With so many brides postponing their weddings this year, we wanted to make sure our wedding date was available and secured!

My venue didn't require a certain head count, it required that the total came to $6000 before taxes and the ceremony fee. Its all inclusive, there were different priced packages per head to choose from. If my guest count caused the cost to go below the initial $6000 limit I could change the package or upgrade a lot of things ex. chair, centerpieces ect. to cover the cost. We actually came up with the number 50 before we even knew about the minimum requirement and it happened to work. We just decided that with the uncertainty of everything we wanted to go smaller.

I’m in a little different situation because in June we postponed from 10/10/20 to 10/30/21. So everything was already planned for original date and save the dates were sent. So there’s no major planning left to do. I ordered change-the-date cards and those will get mailed in October. But we purposely pushed the new date out a little over a year because a 2nd postponement is out of the question. So I’m hopeful that life will be better managed by then. Either way, the show will have to go on and I know it will still be a blast!

We had the same idea, initially. We didn't want to lose out on our preferred list and feel like we had to settle with other vendors that we didn't absolutely love. It does make sense to continue planning! I hope everything works out for everyone.
