Mid April shower with Covid-19?

Amy, on March 28, 2020 at 2:28 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6
So my sister in laws shower is supposed to be in mid April in Michigan, (wedding in June) but with everything going on with Covid-19, family is brainstorming what to do...is anyone else running into this dilemma? Virtual shower? Drive up shower? Postpone until after the wedding? Would love feedback!

I would move it. Mid April where I’m from is where our safer at home order is still on going til April 19 so I don’t imagine it would be a good time.

An in person shower on April 19 would be a hard no from me. Do you know how important the shower is to your FSIL and family? Some brides don't care all that much about showers or bachelorettes, so I'd focus energy on supporting your FSIL during this difficult time however is best for her. My FH's bachelor party was supposed to be that same weekend and was canceled. While it's disappointing, we are so much more concerned about the wedding. Not having a bachelor party doesn't impact him nearly as much as the possibility of having to change our wedding plans. His best man's focus on the bachelor party has actually been quite off putting because it's not the priority right now.

Hello! I have the exact same problem. My bridal shower was supposed to be on April 18th and my wedding is June 19th. My plan is to just postpone my bridal shower to sometime in May and worst comes to worse Early June before the wedding 😭.

I would either postpone or figure out a way to do it virtually.

Chicago is maybe only a little bit behind NYC on this curve, and it is likely to be under isolation policies well through April.

    I'm so sorry! Good luck!

I feel like people are so understanding and the 'rules' are totally out the window right now. I think that its worth considering having the shower after the wedding! This way everyone can be there/enjoy together.

    I would probably move it.
I am worried about my shower at the end of June.
The drive up thing is cute or virtual. Not the same but options.
