Pissed I’m out $2k for my dress that I now need to find a spot to wear it all bc his mother doesn’t know what the word no means and also bc his dad was being a jerk too bc his sister rsvp 3 days before the deadline and then wanted to bring her boyfriend. Well no one said anything about a bf when I asked for a guest list so her and the ppl before her who asked for a plus one were most likely not going to get one. His mother told her friend to add her grown kids to her rsvp and didn’t tell me.. actually she sat there pretending she had no idea who rsvp 4 ppl (the was no name or return address on the envelope). She also told me some person wasn’t going to the wedding and I found out said person wasn’t even invited! (I sent out the invites)

I understand where you're coming from. Looking back, all this temporary drama..is it worth canceling YOUR day?

I'm srry that you are having MIL problems yeah when its comes to this part too many ppl want think that they can add folks. No especially the grooms parent's lol they will always have the need to tells us what we need to do and addict take their wants to the son. Now not my in law it's our daughter say that it's her wedding too. She say something but it's up to me if I want to take her advice or not she never planned a wedding before. If you invitations were sent out already oh well to bad they dont understand the more ppl that is added the more that the budget cost goes up ⬆️⬆️. I'm srry to be gambling I hope that everything goes well for you both.

Money is only HALF the problem. We wanted a small, intimate wedding & not a bunch of ppl there that he doesn’t know or even like. She gave me a list of invites and half the ppl he really didn’t want there or he didn’t know them!

We also have some other issues that need resolved before any unions. Him belittling me and taking his stress/anger out on me - especially in front of my kids is not cool and will not be tolerated.
We went to couples therapy in Jan and she recommended we do individual therapy then meet back in couples therapy. If he doesn’t do the therapy then we’re parting ways for good, bc I’m tired of being the only one trying to change. I’ve pretty much already changed who I am to prove to him that I’m not like his 2nd ex wife 😒

And if she asked both of have stand firm about your decision. Once you send the invitations out it's done. But how of your money has she of contributed to your wedding
