Ok... so I started this military diet where you have to eat specific foods for the day for three days and you're supposed to lose 10 lbs... I know what they say about the fast diets... that you gain back more weight but I'm gonna see what happens... it doesn't hurt to try right!!! I'll keep you guys...

@Alicia - Why do you sarcastically love that people are bashing this? Even though I don't think anyone is bashing it necessarily.

Lucy- Is that in response to my mention of WW? Actually WW does allow for stuff like one hot dog or a cupcake, its built into the program. you count points and are alloted extra weeky points for a treat here or there.

But thats why i said if you do it the right way, you can do WW and count points and only eat junk like ice cream and hot dogs, like this diet. But it isnt health and doesnt work the same as if you do it properly. which means counting your points but focus on lean proteins, whole grains and veggies.

I lost 110lbs in 14 months on WW. So i know alot about it.

It does work..I use to do it like twice a month but its a miserable 3 days for sure and the food is nastyyyyy. I've got it down to a science pretty much. That said, like any crash diet, if you don't keep exercising and dieting, it'll be back in a jiffy.

To each his own.. there are substitutions... this may not be a "Diet" but more like fasting... and it may be geared towards the bride who wants to lose a couple of lbs before the wedding.. I'm using it to jump start on a continuous diet that I will be on... your not starving yourself the calorie count for the 1st day is about 1400. 1200 for the second day and 1100 for the 3rd day the 4 days off you can each what you want as long as it is under 1500 calories... you can repeat it as many times as you want...

As an army brat, it doesn't seem right that they're advertising it as a 'military' diet. Individuals in the military do a lot of work to stay as fit as they are, and meals ready to eat actually have a fairly large number of calories to compensate for the physical work if I'm remembering right. It seems like false advertising.

I've done a significant amount of research into diets and what our body does with protein, cards and fat... Not saying I'm an expert but the only issues I see with that diet are the hot dogs, crackers and too much tuna. I would add some chicken or other protein over hot dogs and tuna. Replace those crackers too.

Lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss book is a great source of information. It's a book to help one drop fat quickly but it also talks about proper precautions as it's a very low cal diet..

"It's more like fasting"... OK so you know "fasting" is EXACTLY the same as "starving yourself"...right? And that's BAD. It's not good for you. You might take a couple lbs off if you do this for a week or two but then your body goes into starvation mode and starts gaining like crazy when you start eating like normal.
