Milk bath as part of the boudoir?

Bo Leigh, on March 30, 2017 at 8:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 77

Has anyone had a milk bath photoshoot as part of their boudoir shoot? My photographer and I are thinking about the combination. I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience.

I literally have no idea what you are talking about. I did a boudoir shoot. But what on earth is a milk bath?

I thought the milk baths were more for maternity photoshoots? You know, mother producing milk/life and all. Not sure I've ever seen one for a boudoir?

@Kelsey. I have no idea. My photographer has been using them for anyone - just as something special.

Like Kelsey said, I've seen it for a maternity shoot, but not a regular boudoir.

I've never heard of that, and to be honest it sounds pretty gross.

ETA: googled it. Definitely gross. Makes me think of swimming in jizz.

Some of these look like you'd need a large tub. I wonder if they use real milk, that sounds expensive in itself.

This is so bizarre! And the idea of laying in milk sounds icky!

I've only heard of people doing it for maternity or baby photo shoots. I love the idea and I know a lot of people use mostly water with powdered milk to make just enough of a milky color.

I guess it depends on your vision. Some have a different eye for art... Milk does not symbolize sexy to me. It remind me of a baby, cow or food. I personally think a bath of roses with plain ole water will be alot sexier. But hey IMO..

I think my FH would freak out if I gave him a photograph of my face peaking out of a tub full of milk.

I agree that the milk is weird. If you were doing something in a tub I think just water and maybe rose petals or even bubbles would be fine. I just asked my FH what he thought about the milk bath and he said "what the hell" lol.

I feel like my FH would wonder why I was being so sexual in a tub of milk. Lol

I immediately thought this must be a male photographer and there must be some innuendo with a woman covered in a milky white substance. No thanks!
