Mini Beers and Burgers?!

Cydney J (Cydney M), on August 21, 2012 at 12:47 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 24

Seriously?! What a great idea!! I love how easily you could personalize this with the beer and burgers! Favorite beers and burgers of the couple! Perfect for a midnight snack or passed hors d'oeuvres for your cocktail hour!

What are your must haves for foods? Are you doing a midnight snack?? If you did a midnight snack, what did you have? What about hors d'oeuvres? What was your must have? We had butternut squash shooters and crustini for my must have hors d'oeuvres...along with other things...but I absolutely had to have that at our wedding! Perfect for fall and one of my favorite soups! Smiley smile

We are having mini burgers on our buffet, along with tacos and bbq pork sandwiches. I think FH will insist on sticking with full size beers though. ; )

We are having more minis for appetizers -- mini Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, mac and cheese bites, and black bean soup shooters with cheese quesadilla garnish. I can't wait to eat at our wedding!

I was at a wedding that brought out churros and soft pretzels with nacho cheese. AMAZING!

We had smokies for our late night lunch. Everyone loved them.

For our appetizers, we had Italian cheeses, meats and other antipasto items. It was great since we were not around for cocktail hour, they left two plates of the stuff on the head table for us and the wedding party to enjoy during dinner.

One of my must haves is meatballs in this amazing sauce that my grandma used to make. It's actually just chili sauce and grape jelly but it tastes amazing.

These is a super cute idea. We did the midnight sliders station with mini cheeseburgers, mini hotdogs, mini grilled cheese sandwiches, regular and sweet potato fries, tomato soup shooters, and mini milk shakes (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate). It was an absolute pigfest.

We are also doing a mini slider station, however, I do not think that mini beers are very practical. I have been to events where beers are served in that size glass and each guy needs like 30.

THe must have horsies for our wedding was an anti-pasto. I think DH would have had a sit in had we not included it.

Cate's wedding was over at 10:30, so no midnight snacks were needed, especially after 2 hours of a Viennese table. Her bridal party had a separate area for their cocktail hour and she had to have sushi and the mini lamb chops on their horsie buffet.

The MTO stations were a huge hit during her cocktail hour: crab cakes on one station and pasta with all kinds of toppings. The one thing I liked about the passed horsies was that each server had a little bit of everything so you didn't have to chase down the lamb chop dude.

Re mini beers....oh heck no, I need a full one.

We are doing s'mores after the reception. Reception is held on the beach of the hotel we are staying at and they have 3 grills out there. Smiley smile Cant wait, one of my favorite things so far!
