Minimal Aisle Decorations

Kelsey, on April 24, 2019 at 10:54 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 24
Is anyone else doing minimal aisle decorations? My venue is right on a river so I’m just doing rose petals for the aisle runner and two reserved signs hanging off chairs in the front row. It’s getting to the point in wedding planning where I’m tired of spending money, and honestly I don’t think people will really notice my decorations or lack thereof lol.

We got married on the beach so we just had petals. I wanted the beauty of the area to speak for itself.

Yep - did not decorate most of our ceremony site. Got a $10 package of tissue paper poms to hang on the chairs on the aisles, printed a few reserved signs, and done.

We got married in a church. Our ceremony was 20 minutes long and then we left to go to the reception site. I didn't really think it needed very much decorating. We did minimal greenery hanging on the pews and a reserved sign for the families in the front row. We put 2 hydrangeas up at the alter with our unity candles but it was very fast/easy set up and tear down. I didn't see the point in going crazy for a space we would spend less than 30 minutes at.

I didn’t do aisle decorations. It was one of the things I didn’t care about and thought people wouldn’t notice.

I’m torn between decorating the aisle or not. Right now our plan is to leave it as is because our ceremony won’t be too long.

Im keeping my ceremony as simple as possible. White rose petals down the aisle . White lanterns placed on every other row of chairs. We’re eliminating the arch and just having lanterns and rose petals at the front. Our wedding is in October so I figured why not let the scenery of Fall leaves do the decor?

I'm not doing any aisle décor. We are getting married outside in the gardens of our venue so I want to embrace the natural beauty.

We didn't do any ceremony space decor at all. We were married outdoors and loved the simplicity of the space.

We aren't doing any decor in our ceremony space. It's in a garden so it really doesn't need it Smiley smile

Our venue already has a beautiful interior that I don't think we'll need/have any ceremony decorations. If my fiance doesn't mention it, neither will I lol.

Our church is absolutely beautiful as is so I’m just doing an aisle runner with rose petals, the front 3 pews will have small flowers for picture purposes and same goes for the 2 urns at the front.

If your venue offers any decorations you can use, such as lamps to put candles in along the row of benches. If not, venue itself usually does the trick ..keep in mind of the interior Smiley smile

We're getting married outside, in a rose garden, in front of a large fountain. Doing nothing but chairs and a couple reserved signs.

I’m at the exact same point as you lol I just don’t really care about the decorations anymore. I’m not planning on having any aisle decorations and other than flowers and the lights the venue already has up we really aren’t doing much decorating at all! Ours is in a barn

I am thinking of getting an aisle runner, just because. I didn't even think of putting anything on the pews until my FMIL mentioned pew bows. Which I don't think I want bow, but have been searching for diy flower-less pew decorations, and still haven't found anything I like. So may just do the aisle runner, who knows. (My FMIL would probably have an issue with no pew decorations, but oh well. Haha)

Nada. Honestly too broke less than a month away to really put much into it and don't feel like we're missing much.

I wanted to do 3 things but cut back to just 2 cuz I was like nahh this is too much work and idc to do all that. I am having petals line the aisles and lanterns at every other row crisscrossing the aisles and that's it (pictured shows every row but I am not buying all those lanterns on top of centerpiece lanterns also lol). No runner because it'll be outdoors and I think it looks nicer to embrace the outdoors. My flower colors are fall colors so petals like in the picture are perfect.

I'm not doing any aisle decorations to be honest. My ceremony is taking place in a garden so there is already so much going on with all the flowers and greenery! Plus there is a beautiful fountain right in the middle for each pair of BM & GM to walk around. So we didn't think anything else is necessary. We aren't even having our flower girl throw any flowers. She's just going to have a mini version of my bouquet and be there to help our 2 1/2 year old ring bearer walk down the stairs.
