Minimony ideas

Ally, on December 14, 2020 at 10:40 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
Due to cancelling our big reception, my husband and I are having a one year anniversary party at the end of April this year in his parents backyard. Any ideas are welcome, as for some reason I am having trouble planning this and coming up with ideas. Thanks in advance!!

The anniversary party sounds like a great idea! What are you stuck on? Are you looking for themes? Food ideas?

    I had a minimony:

    I had two photographers

    Cake

    Three guests

    Officiant

    A processional and recessional song

Honestly we treated it much like a wedding ceremony. I wore a dress and he worse a three piece suit. Also, we had an official ceremony, you can see in my profile pic I had a bouquet. We took pics (I even got a charcuterie board for my MOH to get ready and eat) and then we went out to dinner afterwards and just hung out. I had the best day.

How about a barbeque? I love them and that's always a go to for me lol. You can get super creative with the menu, have snow balls, have lots of fun punches and play games. I think it'll be a great way to kick of the spring for your family and friends!

Mostly looking for ideas for activities since we will not have the typical wedding structure that most people follow

That’s a good idea instead of catering. Thank you!

Yeah you can save yourself a little money or to save you some trouble still go with a smaller caterer. Idk where your located but we have Mission BBQ here in Maryland and they do a lot of our office parties lol...omg it's delicious!

You could setup lawn games! You could also do a trivia game, photo booth, board/card games/tournaments, etc.

I was definitely thinking along the lines of games, love the photo booth and trivia ideas!

We had a minimony with about 35 guests. My parents cooked dinner for us, we bought a few bottles of alcohol, played music, took pictures & had a great time. I agree with previous suggestions of adding games
