Minted experiences + other questions

I found these gorgeous invites that are perfect for our theme and my vision though they're a little more than I wanted to spend. I want to make sure I'm choosing a good company before I shell out that much money. So has anyone used minted? I plan to only order the invitations and RSVP cards for now as I didn't like the add ons but I'd like to change some things on the RSVP cards through a special request. So specifically has anyone done this before? I want to add a line saying "_ of _ attending" and get rid of the meal options since we're doing buffet style.

Next question is about addressing the envelopes. The website offers to address the invites for you which I've gone back and forth on. What's the etiquette on this? Also I'm afraid if I order the invitations with addresses a few people will have moved around by the time invites are ready to go out.

And lastly, I know they have a sale right now but does anyone know if they have any other annual sales that could be better or habe promo codes to use when we're ready to order? Thank you!

I used Minted for save the dates and am very pleased with the service and quality of the product. The materials are high quality and the designs are stunning. They even hand write little notes to place in the packages so that’s a really nice personal touch.

Minted doesn’t really have deep discounts for their sales. The most I’ve seen so far was 25% off for Black Friday/Cyber Monday and that’s when I ordered my STDs. When you order samples (I think they also have a free sample kit), they send a 10 or 15% off coupon. I think they’re worth the money though. Have you purchased any samples? The basic paper they use is still way better quality than some of the premium papers at some of the less expensive companies.

I used Minted for our STDs and the quality was fantastic. I probably would have gone with them for invitations had I not found a design through a local shop that I wanted to use.

I did not take advantage of their free recipient addressing because I do brush lettering and wanted to address my own envelopes. Their addressing designs are gorgeous, though, and I love that you can often pick one that matches the design of your STD or invitation. I was able to purchase extra envelopes with my order. I would say that if you order them now, you can order extra, blank envelopes. That way, if anyone does move, all you have to do is take one if the extra envelopes and address it yourself. You can even choose similar fonts on your computer and print their address on the new envelope.

As far as sales, I think they frequently run sales. The highest percentage off I've ever seen from Minted is 30%.

I used Minted for my save the dates, and I loved them! I also used the recipient addressing because I didn't want to pay for calligraphy, and I am a lefty, so my handwriting is just horrifying. I wanted to use them for my invites, but I really couldn't justify how expensive they are. I highly recommend taking a look at shutterfly. Some of their invites offer custom colors, and you can see what it looks like while you are designing the invite. Here are the two invites. I like the minted one slightly better, but I paid 50% less using shutterfly. Pink writing is minted.

I just ordered stds yesterday, So I obviously haven’t received them to comment on the quality yet but I am hopeful based on other reviews. In regards to discounts they have something that expires today, code was bouquet 18- Took a nice chunk off. However we found a couple other loopholes to get a better discount, I referred future husband to the siyep, getting him a $25 credit if he ordered, and me a future credit of $25 off an order. So with that we used his referral discount for the save the dates to save $25 off and plan on using my account with the referral discount for the invites in the future. We also spent the $20 to upgrade our website on the site and got a $50 coupon which we could use combined with the $25 referral discount... we could not combine those discounts with the bouquet 18, but tried it both ways and took the one that worked better for us.

I forgot to mention the envelope addressing! That process was a breeze and as @BlueHenBride said, their fonts are really pretty. I’m not sure if this is done for everyone, but I actually received 10 free blank envelopes and a few extra cards. That was definitely a plus as I needed to correct two of the addresses so I downloaded the same font, typed in the correct addresses on Word, and ran the envelopes through my printer.

I used Minted for my wedding invitations and I recommend it. You can submit requests to make changes to the layout and can communicate with the person who designs it for you. They will send you a proof to revise so it's no problem to rearrange the wording layout. Also, as far as the envelope printing, I would just order a few blank envelopes so that you can write out the new addresses when you receive them. Blank envelopes are good to have for back up just in case one gets returned in the mail. It always seems like they always have sales going on but it's never a huge 40-50%, maybe around 20% off max.

We used Minted for out STDs and the quality was beautiful! From what I have seen they regularly have sales similar to what they have on now, but the most I've ever seen is 25% off.

It never hurts to look Smiley smile For what it’s worth, I saw a typo on them after I placed the order, and their customer service was amazing! If you use them, have several people take a look before ordering!

I got all of my wedding stationery through minted and was very happy with everything. The envelope addressing was sooo convenient.
