Minted or Zola wedding website?

Rose, on November 6, 2019 at 4:42 PM Posted in Planning 1 12
Has anyone used minted or Zola for their wedding website? They seem very similar I just can’t choose between the two. I have to get my stds printed in a few days. Both will allow you to have a custom url. To me zola seems a bit easier to use than minted. What did you guys use?

We used the Knot. I wasn't a fan of Zola mainly because of their registry. Everything through their registry was way overpriced compared to other retailers. I love the Knot so far, plus they are partners with Amazon where we have our registry. Through "The Knot Gifts Back" program, for every gift purchased off our registry, The Knot will donate a percentage to the charity of our choice (we chose St. Jude's)

I'm actually using Wix. Before WW, I had never even heard of minted or zola but the more I started hearing about it, I'm glad I stayed with Wix. It was all about customization for me and Wix is extremely customizable, more so than both minted and zola and you can still get your custom URL. My template barely even looks like the original after I got done with it and I couldn't be happier. Whichever you use, I hope it works out well for you! Smiley catface

I did Zola and absolutely love how easy to use, customizable and cute it is! There are so many design options and lots of information for guests to easily access. I don’t know anything about the registry because we aren’t doing one, so that wasn’t an issue

We used Zola. I found it so easy to use. We didn't really need a whole lot of household items per say but wanted a Honeymoon Fund. And Zola's website made it an easy option for guest to contribute. Also, if you haven't already purchased RSVP cards, you should consider doing your RSVP's online. Zola has this as a function. I had to use it for the straggler rsvp information from guest. HIND SIGHT is 20/20. Had I known how much easier it would be track than the mail in RSVP cards I would have started it this way initially. The online invite seems fairly easy to use as well. Just something to think about.

I love the online RSVP that Zola offers, it’s so easy. I worry that my elder relatives might not be able to figure it out. Can you do both RSVP cards and online RSVP?

If you want, for your elderly or not so internet savvy guest; send them a paper rsvp to return to you.

Absolutely. Just like with any website though, everything is free until you want a custom domain. Other than that, you can add as many photos as you like. They have photo gallery templates.
