Miss my wedding and honeymoon

Jenny, on February 7, 2015 at 1:03 AM Posted in Married Life 0 13

Does anyone else miss their wedding and honeymoon a lot?!? I miss both of mine so much and wish I could go back. They were 7 months ago. I keep thinking back to this time last year and miss all of the excitement of being engaged and planning my wedding.

Yes, totally know how you feel. Mine was 2 months after yours. I just got my final wedding video so it brought back all of these mixed emotions about the wedding. I wish we could actually re-do it every year, darn finances.

My wedding is the end of May and I'm already starting to get sad that it's so close and all the fun of planning and stuff will be over soon... Smiley sad

I hope the Post-Wedding Blues doesn't hit you as hard as it hit me. We got a puppy so I could fill the void and have something to worry about/take care of. Now things are finally starting to come together since my husband is about to start his career. Fresh new start for us to move into a new home together and a whole new state. Nervous and excited all at the same time.

Find something new to look forward to! Maybe plan a trip with the new hubby, or redecorate a room in your home together. Smiley smile

As of right now I am good, but I also just got married a month go. I just love looking at the pictures and rethinking about the great memories.

I am right with you! I almost have DH talked into a vacation in April so I think that will take some pressure off.

There was a post last week about the "post-wedding blues" and I am definitely feeling it!

I feel like the last four months have been boring and permeated with way too much MIL pestering us. We just need to get away! We haven't really had any alone time since the wedding Smiley sad

I'm only at about 3 weeks, a bit more, but no. I wish I fully remembered the wedding since there was so much going on. I'm anxiously awaiting my pictures and video!

Other than that, no, I have a lot of other things to focus on. I think the key to not having the blues is to not making the wedding the center of your life, so that when it's over you're not "empty nesting" over an event.

I definitely did everything i wanted for my wedding so i'd have no regrets, but funny, since i've now had the big traditional wedding i am day dreaming about planning another totally different wedding! going to try to wait until anniversary 10 for a tropical vow renewal.

I wish that's where I was right now. I'm ready for it to be o-v-e-r.

Its getting worse every day for me. Of course it doesn't help that I am still out of work (even with a degree and experience I can't find a job) so I have a lot of free time on my hands. I started working with a travel company that specializes in Disney destinations (but don't provide leads so that's difficult) and am starting to try and plan a trip this summer. My dad's family is having a family reunion in West Virginia and DH and I are planning on going and leaving home a few days early and visit some sites along the way (shooting for Gettysburg and Valley Forge but we will see as the date gets closer). DH also agreed to a destination vow renewal in 10 years so I am thinking about that as well but clearly that's not something I can really start planning now.

We got a puppy too... I really want to wear my wedding dress again, though.
